Oakland

Within the San Francisco Bay Area you really can’t get more diverse than Oakland.  We’re not talking about only ethnically, socially, or economically but also the diverse housing stock and neighborhoods.  From the North Bay to the South Bay or the West Bay to the East Bay housing markets there are real estate options for almost everyone.  However, if you want to live in a dynamic urban city outside of San Francisco Oakland is the place!   From Bungalows in North or East Oakland to Victorians in West and Downtown Oakland; from Mediterranean homes and Mansions to waterfront condos in Jack London Square and Lake Merritt Oakland has something for every home buyer.

WallHub did a study of 500 of the largest US cities to see which is most diverse and Oakland came in at #7.  The draw of Oakland’s rich history, great weather, beautiful regional parks, and diverse cultural tapestry attracts many people to visit and live here.

From the many languages spoken here to the great restaurant scene celebrating many of the world’s cuisines Oakland has a big-city feel but yet only has a population of about 430,000. With Bart running through the City and the many commuter options transportation is easier than in many cities in the Bay Area.  From Uptown to Rockridge, to the Laurel or Dimond districts or the jewel of Oakland, Lake Merritt, Oakland is a city on the move.  Oakland has a lot to offer everyone, from new homeowners just buying their first home to retirees hoping to sell their home and downsize to a condo.
