I’ve lived in the Bay Area for over 50 years having grown up in Berkeley and Oakland. I graduated from Berkeley High School, and attended Diablo Valley College before transferring to San Francisco State University where I graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance and Real Estate.
My first professional experience within the world of real estate was working for World Savings, one of the industry’s best run S&L’s in the 1990’s. As an appraiser, based on metrics established by World Savings, I consistently led my region in performance. To date I’ve has completed over 2,000 residential appraisals of single family homes and 2-4 unit multifamily properties.
I have experience successfully rehabbing single family homes and multi-family properties. I purchased my first fixer home at 27. More recently my experience includes substantial six figure rehabs (up to $450,000), condo conversions, and stabilizing rental properties.
I cofounded and successfully built a communications contracting business to approximately $7,000,000 in business with over 100 employees. My financial acumen and detail oreiented approach to building a business in the fast paced telecommunications contracting market helped support the financial growth of the business virtually organically. My company’s achievements were recognized in the East Bay Business Times in the San Francisco Bay Area. After selling my business to my business partner I returned to my passion, real estate.
I have also been an owner/ property manager for 15 for years. I’ve been involved in all aspects of ownership and property management which included repositioning and rehabbing separate eleven and fourteen unit apartment buildings, with initial vacancies of 0% and 50%, to 100% occupancy.
In addition, given my significant appraisal, sales, and property management background I have served as an expert witness for local attorneys in Oakland.
I’ve been a licensed California realtor since 2006, and renewed my appraisal license in 2009. I am passionate about real estate and helping others achieve their dreams as it relates to real estate. Please see my reviews on this website and/or Zillow.com.
