San Leandro

San Leandro was one of a number of suburban cities built out after the World War II era. Many of the homes are traditional 1940’s and 1950’s houses. In the north east area of San Leandro lies aa couple of older neighborhoods known as Broadmoor and Estudillo Estates. Many of these homes were building in the 1920’s – 1930’s and sit on large lots. Although there are many good areas in San Leandro, personally, these are my favorite areas as they are more walkable yet still have convenient access to local transportation options.

One of the benefits of living in San Leandro is the easy access to the Chabot Regional Park including Lake Chabot. Although shopping and restaurant options are good they are not as plentiful as nearby Oakland however the crime rates are lower. San Leandro is a great option to consider when looking to purchase a home.
